Monnerys before 1800


Very little is known.

According to a trade directory of 1794, Wm. and Jos. Monnery, leather-sellers and glove-makers, were carrying on their trade at 22 Borough.

This fits with information handed down through the Goddard family, to the effect that the premises were just south of London Bridge.
